Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $28$35/hr Overnight Senior Companion Location: Vancouver, BC Schedule: Overnight Shifts (Exact Schedule to Be Determined) About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and attentive Overnight Senior Companion to provide support, supervision, and companionship for a senior family member during overnight hours. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, caring, and committed to ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of seniors. The successful candidate will provide a reassuring presence throughout the night, assist with occasional needs, and communicate any concerns to family members. Key Responsibilities Overnight Support & Supervision Provide overnight companionship and supervision Be available to assist with nighttime bathroom visits if needed Ensure the senior's comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night Maintain a calm, secure, and comfortable environment Personal Support Prepare water, medications, or other nighttime necessities as directed Provide reassurance and emotional support when needed Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent situations Assist with light overnight needs as required Communication & Monitoring Observe and report any changes in condition, behavior, or well-being to family members Maintain clear communication regarding overnight observations and concerns Follow established care routines and family instructions Qualifications Fluent in both Mandarin and English Previous experience in senior support, caregiving, companion care, healthcare, or a related field preferred Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive Strong communication and observation skills Comfortable working overnight shifts Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Consistent overnight schedule Respectful and supportive family environment Long-term opportunity for the right candidate Paid vacation and statutory holidays in accordance with BC employment standards How to Apply Please submit: A current resume outlining relevant experience A brief introduction describing your background and interest in the position References available upon request We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
