Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including safe operating practices for forklifts and other equipment.
Work collaboratively with machine operators and other team members in the yard to ensure efficient workflow and clear communication.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in both the yard and warehouse, promptly addressing debris or obstructions.
Identify and report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or process concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Contribute to a safety-focused and reliable work culture by consistently demonstrating safe work habits and attention to detail.
Essential Skills

Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating outdoor sit-down counterbalanced forklifts.
Proven experience working in outdoor yard environments with material handling responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to move oversized loads, including long materials such as I-joists up to 60 feet.
Hands-on general labour experience in a warehouse, yard, or production setting.
Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with wood or lumber products in a manufacturing or construction-related environment.
Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and shipping/receiving processes.
Experience in production environments where coordination between yard, warehouse, and machine operators is required.
Comfort working with new or upgraded machinery and adapting to evolving processes.
Strong organizational skills for optimizing yard and warehouse layout and material flow.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and support a positive, low-turnover work culture.
