We are looking for a talented and versatile Oracle Middleware & Database Administrator to join our team and help us bring our vision to life . This role is based in our Markham, Ontario offices conveniently located near Highway 404 & 407. We are focused on team participation and commit to working a Full-Time schedule in our Markham office. Our Culture & Values The Oracle Middleware & Database Administrator will be part of a professional team that prioritizes its corporate culture focused on four foundational core values: Put Integrity First Think “We” not “Me” Be Passionate Execute Flawlessly Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oracle Middleware & Database Administrator Administer and support Oracle enterprise applications across DEV, QA, UAT, and Production environments Perform deployments, upgrades, patching, and environment refresh activities Support Oracle WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware environments Configure and manage: WebLogic Admin & Managed Servers Node Manager JDBC Data Sources JMS Modules ADF and RCU components Monitor application health, batch processing, and loan servicing workflows Perform JVM tuning, heap management, and garbage collection optimization Oracle Database Administration & Production Support Database Maintenance & Installation: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and servers. Backup & Recovery: Develop and execute comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss. Performance Tuning: Monitor system resource usage, identify bottlenecks, and optimize databases and SQL queries for maximum speed and efficiency. Security & Access Control: Manage database user accounts, assign roles and privileges, and enforce organizational data security and compliance policies. Integration & Application Support Configure and troubleshoot REST/SOAP web services Manage Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) and reverse proxy configurations Support integrations with banking systems, payment gateways, CRM platforms, and third-party vendors Troubleshoot interface failures, middleware issues, and message queues Database & Production Support Support Oracle Database 19c/23c environments Troubleshoot Oracle database connectivity and JDBC datasource issues Support Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments Monitor batch jobs, EOD/BOD processing, and interface transactions Provide L2/L3 production support in a 24x7 environment Perform root cause analysis and support incident/problem management activities Security & Compliance Configure SSL certificates, keystores, and truststores Manage authentication, access control, and role-based permissions Support audit and compliance initiatives including SOX controls Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field 5+ years of Oracle middleware/application administration experience Strong experience with: Azure Cloud infrastructure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Oracle Database 19c/23c Oracle WebLogic Server 12c/14c Linux/Unix Administration (Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x) Networking, Firewalls, ACL’s, Load balancer configuration and maintenance Oracle Fusion Middleware (ADF & RCU) Oracle JDK 1.8 / JDK 21 SQL & PL/SQL Shell scripting REST/SOAP web services JDBC datasource configuration SSL/TLS configuration Experience supporting enterprise production environments and critical applications Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Oracle OFSLL applications Experience with Oracle RAC / Data Guard Knowledge of Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), Apache Tomcat, IBM MQ/JMS Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Bitbucket Experience in banking, lending, leasing, or financial services environments Oracle certifications preferred Experience supporting high-availability enterprise systems Environment Details Oracle OFSLL centralized deployment architecture Oracle Enterprise Linux 8.x/ environments Oracle WebLogic Enterprise Edition 12c/14c Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 19c/23c Oracle Analytics Publisher Work Environment Fast-paced enterprise financial services environment 24x7 production support model with on-call rotation Cross-functional collaboration with infrastructure and business teams Travel: Occasional travel to client locations may be required Equal Opportunity & Accessibility (AODA/ADA) DecisiveEdge is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
