Overview The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.
Position The Operation IT Infrastructure Lead is responsible for ensuring that all operation IT infrastructure delivered by project teams meets operational requirements and is fully aligned with Group IT architecture, cybersecurity, and governance standards. The role acts as a critical bridge between project delivery, site operations, and Group IT, ensuring infrastructure is both fit-for-purpose in operations and compliant with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure operation IT infrastructure delivered by project teams is fit for operations, including reliability, maintainability, and supportability
Participate in infrastructure design reviews, FAT, SAT, and operational readiness assessments
Provide formal validation and acceptance from an IT operations perspective
Ensure smooth transition and handover from IT infrastructure project to IT operations
Ensure designed operation IT infrastructure compliance with Group IT architecture, cybersecurity, and identity & access management (IAM) standards
Coordinate and obtain required approvals for network design, security architecture, and system onboarding
Support cybersecurity assessments, risk reviews, audit readiness, and operational readiness reviews
Ensure IT infrastructure supports effective integration and interoperability across IT, OT, and telecom systems, in alignment with enterprise architecture, IT/OT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and operational best practices
Ensure secure architecture, including network segmentation and controlled data flows
Maintain architecture documentation, integration specifications, and technical standards
Drive standardization, scalability, and long-term maintainability of systems
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability
Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Ensure continuous improvement of infrastructure stability and operational efficiency
Coordinate with global IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Coordinate and manage external partners and vendors to ensure IT infrastructure architecture design supports data provision, IT/OT system integration, and data exchange, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and operational requirements
RequirementsRequired Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise IT, or systems integration roles
Strong experience in network architecture, including LAN/WAN design and implementation
Proven experience in IT/OT integration in industrial or complex environments
Experience working with project delivery teams, preferably within EPC or large-scale project environments
Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, policies, and compliance requirements
Familiarity with enterprise IT standards, architecture principles, and enforcement practices
Experience coordinating with centralized or global IT organizations
Good knowledge of IT/OT security standards and protocols
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination capabilities
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA) are an asset
Additional Requirements
Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset
Experience working and problem solving with centralized global remote support models and processes

A valid driver’s license and passport (Canadian passport or passport with US Visa)
Eligibility
As required, the position is based in Vancouver, BC, with travel to Squamish (site). Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
