Dual Credit Consultant – Permanent Location: Kemptville and Cornwall Board Offices Salary: as per Collective Agreement (Annual Consultant allowance of $8,723 applicable) FTE: 1.00 Effective: September 1, 2026 Under the direction of the Principal of Curriculum and Student Success, the successful candidate will play a vital system-wide role in supporting schools across the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) in the areas of student success, equity, assessment and evaluation, and overall student achievement. This position is central to the implementation of the Ministry of Education's Student Success initiatives and CDSBEO's Student Achievement and Action Plan (SAAP). The Dual Credit Consultant will centrally coordinate and support the Dual Credit Program, working closely with guidance counsellors, Student Success Teams, and college partners to identify appropriate students, monitor participation, and increase awareness of how Dual Credit opportunities support student engagement and successful transitions to post-secondary education. A key responsibility of this role is to serve as a liaison between the Curriculum Department and secondary school guidance departments, facilitating communication, alignment, and planning related to course selection, post-secondary pathways, graduation requirements, and individualized student supports. A strong commitment to Catholic education and CDSBEO's values of equity, inclusion, anti‑racism, and anti‑oppression is essential. Flexibility, strong collaboration skills, and responsiveness to system needs are key, as the Consultant may also be called upon to support additional initiatives and priorities as directed by the Principal of Curriculum and Student Success. Key Responsibilities Promote, coordinate, and support Dual Credit opportunities for secondary students earning college credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Coordinate transportation for Dual Credit courses. Liaise with college partners, school staff, Guidance Departments, and Student Success Teams to support enrolment, registration, transportation, transitions, and student success. Identify and support students, monitor progress, share academic information, and review outcomes to inform program improvement. Work with the Principal of Curriculum and Student Success and Finance Department to manage program budgets. Travel to CDSBEO secondary schools and colleges to support students and monitor program participation. Help students understand academic expectations, access college resources, and receive required supports including IEP accommodations. Collaborate with OYAP and SHSM Board leads to promote Dual Credit participation and celebrate student achievement. Participate in Dual Credit meetings, program evaluation, Ministry and provincial reporting, and future program planning. Complete other duties as assigned by the principal. Qualifications and Assets Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate. Intermediate and Senior Qualifications and/or Master’s degree. Religious Education Part 1 (asset). Knowledge of EDCS system (asset). Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the Dual Credit and OYAP programming (asset). Experience teaching in both elementary and secondary school (considered an asset). Extensive knowledge of assessment, evaluation, and reporting practices in alignment with Growing Success: Assessment Evaluation and Reporting in Ontario Schools. A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel to rural schools across the CDSBEO. Skills Personal and professional confidence, integrity, discretion, and resilience. Demonstrated experience supporting accessibility, inclusion, diversity, and equity. Strong planning, organization, and implementation skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent problem solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with community partners.
