Description Position # : V45986 Expected Start Date: September 08, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Surgical Assessment Centre - Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Pre-Admission Surgical Specialty Clinic Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 8 Hours shift Relief: No Float: No Hours of work: Standard hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: Under the direction of the Pre-Admission Clinic Manager, the Nurse Practitioner will provide pre-operative assessment services to surgical care patients in the Pre-Admission Clinic (PAC). The Pre-Admission Clinic ensures patients are fully prepared for surgery in terms of patient optimization, appropriate pre-operative testing and intervention, and education surrounding what to expect before and after surgery. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for surgical care patients both independently and collaboratively with Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine, depending upon the complexity of patient needs. This includes: diagnosis, assessment, intervention and follow up for pre-operative patients. Human Resources Exemption: No License Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP)) Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Competencies Assessment skills - Advanced Computer skills - Basic Demonstrate Leadership and organizational skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to adapt to and implement change Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Demonstrates knowledge of community services, programs, and resources Knowledge of common medical conditions and treatments.
