Position Summary West Nipissing General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Nursing Care Unit team. The Nurse Practitioner functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing advanced nursing care and clinical expertise to patients while supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Working within a collaborative healthcare environment, the Nurse Practitioner assesses, diagnoses, treats, and monitors patients while incorporating evidence-based practice and a holistic approach to care. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, allied health professionals, patients, and families to optimize health outcomes and enhance the patient experience. Qualifications Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (Nurse Practitioner) Current IV Therapy Certification Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Core Competencies Related clinical experience is considered an asset Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities Proven time management and organizational skills Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proven ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-informed care Computer proficiency is considered an asset Why Join West Nipissing General Hospital?
