General Purpose of Position:
Supervises nursing services provided at all inpatient facilities within the standards of conduct or practice of Washington State. Provides nursing management inclusive of scheduling, staff supervision, and survey/licensure compliance for all evaluation and treatment facilities.
Clinical Supervision:
Conducts and documents on-going clinical supervision consistent with Comprehensive Healthcare’s policies and procedures, and consistent with the requirements for the supervised employee’s professional credentials.
Assesses clinical skills, gives constructive feedback, and provides (or arranges for) training and coaching to promote the development of technical skills, therapeutic approaches, and strength-based interventions appropriate for the client population served.
Creates a continuing education plan and designs and tracks learning objectives to support new skill development consistent with job requirements
Coordination:
Trains new nurses across all evaluation and treatment facilities.
Implements and supervises consistent nursing policies and procedures across facilities.
Supervises scheduling and assists in finding coverage.
Fills in for shifts at each facility once a quarter.
Coordinates with nursing schools to place students in the facilities for educational rotations.
Ensures all licensing, legal and Joint Commission standards are being applied consistently across all facilities.
Core Nursing Functions:
Utilizes the nursing process, providing a systematic approach to client health needs through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Carries out orders as prescribed by staff providers in a concise and timely manner.
Establishes and maintains professional relationships with clients and families, providing information, education, care coordination, and support.
Implements prevention strategies for various health conditions as appropriate.
Actively engages in treatment teams and team-oriented strategies to achieving care objectives.
Utilizes a variety of resources to increase clinical and professional competence.
Delegates nursing tasks to appropriate staff members, training and supervising them to ensure accuracy and consistency in care and reporting.
Represents and promotes professional nursing in all settings
Employment Practices:
Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selections.
Follows policies and procedures for corrective action relating to staff performance.
Provides sound supervision to all direct reports which include appropriate and frequent performance feedback.
Supports employees in skill development and goal attainment.
Completes performance evaluations in a timely and thorough manner.
Appropriately utilizes the Human Resources Department as needed and required.
Nursing Assessments and Planning:
Completes all required intakes and assessments following agency guidelines and polices for content, format andtimeliness.
Obtains and documents essential clinical data as well as person-specific data.
Applies assessment, evaluation and reassessment data to the formulation of treatment planning.
Formulates measurable, achievable goals and treatment recommendations within the scope of treatment that the setting provides and in collaboration with the client.
Communicates observations, planning and recommendations clearly and effectively to fellow nurses and othermembers of the treatment team.
Team Leader:
Provides direction, supervision, coaching, training and regular performance feedback to build employee skills and support progress toward goals.
Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selections.
Creates training and development plans to support new employees to be successful
Completes performance evaluations in a timely and thorough manner.
Assists with the development of the team budget and monitors budget throughout the year.
Monitors program plan adherence to ensure quality service delivery.
Collaborates with the Human Resources Department on hiring, retention and progressive discipline issues.
Communicates relevant matters to direct reports timely and effectively.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Pay Range:
$95,617.60 to $143,436.80 Salary
Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing
Active RN license in Washington or Compact State
Must have valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance
