We are currently hiring Nuclear Medicine Technologists (MRT(N)) on behalf of one of our well-established and highly regarded healthcare clients in Peterborough, Ontario . About the Opportunity: Our client is a busy, progressive and fully accredited healthcare facility offering specialized programs in cardiology, vascular, stroke and diabetes care to a large geographic region. They are looking for dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join their team in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. Position Details: Job Type: Permanent Full-Time, Part-Time & Casual Pay: Starting at $38/hour Schedule: 8-hour shifts | Day shifts | Monday to Friday Location: Peterborough, Ontario Work Setting: In-person What Client Offers: Competitive compensation based on experience Generous signing bonus Company pension Extended health care benefits Paid time off On-site parking Relocation assistance for candidates moving to Peterborough Subsidized living accommodations may be available for relocating candidates Opportunities for professional growth and development Key Responsibilities: Safely handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with CNSC guidelines . Perform angiocath insertion and intravenous injections. Prepare and assist patients for Gamma Camera procedures. Collaborate with the stress team to perform nuclear cardiology testing, including exercise and pharmacological stress testing. Prepare and assist patients undergoing resting MUGA studies. Perform ECG gating. Use radiation monitoring equipment and perform contamination monitoring and decontamination as required. Maintain accurate patient and procedure records. Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and applicable regulations. Educate patients about procedures and address their questions or concerns. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Opportunity to serve as an alternate Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) . Qualifications: Current registration in good standing with CMRITO as an MRT(N) . Current membership in good standing with CAMRT Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
