Job Summary
Provide administrative and procedural support to court operations, including file management and scheduling. Interact with legal professionals and the public to facilitate efficient and accurate court proceedings.

Main Duties
Manage court dockets and schedules, coordinate hearing dates, and notify parties of proceedings.
Receive, review, and process filings, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents; enter case information into case management systems.
Prepare and maintain court records, exhibits, and indexes, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate retention.
Assist judges and court officers during proceedings, administer oaths, record rulings, and prepare minutes or transcripts as required.
Provide information and direction to members of the public, legal professionals, and law enforcement regarding court procedures and required documentation.
Prepare and distribute subpoenas, notices, orders, and judgments; perform general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, and filing.
Requirements
Secondary school diploma; post-secondary certificate in legal administration, office administration, or a related field is an asset.
Minimum of one year of administrative experience in a legal, government, or court environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email) and experience using case management or records systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated customer service experience dealing with the public.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and to successfully complete required background or security screening.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
