The Role We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to join our Platform Engineering team who will be building our new infrastructure platform. In this role, you will beresponsible for leading the end-to-end solution design, implementation and evolution ofcomplex network architectures across the entire project lifecycle. Act as a strategic pivot point across security teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to orchestrate critical architectural decisions and navigate complex cross-domain dependencies. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Extensive experience designing and operatinglarge-scale, geographicallydistributed data center networksacross multiple regions, ensuring highavailability, scalability, and resilience. Deep expertise inmodern data center architectures, includingspine-leaf fabricdesign, enabling predictable performance and horizontal scalability. Knowledge ofEVPN/VXLAN overlaysfor network virtualization, segmentation,and workload mobility across distributed environments. Strong proficiency withBGP, including route design, policy control, and scalablerouting architectures for both data center and WAN environments. Identify and manage architectural risks and constraints (resiliency, latency,failure domains, routing complexity, security), and drive design decisions withclear trade-offs and mitigation strategies. Define and maintain reference architectures, design standards, and reusablepatterns for data center, WAN, and multi-tenant environments to ensureconsistency and scalability. Serve as a cross-functional technical leader, aligning delivery, operations,security, vendors, and customers to drive decisions and resolve complexdependencies Solid experience withWAN and edge network design, including interdata center connectivity, traffic engineering, andinternet peering design and support. Drive platform-level improvements by identifying recurring issues andinefficiencies, and translating them into architectural enhancements andstandardization initiatives. Define and influence network technology roadmaps, evaluating vendors andsolutions to advance capabilities in data center networking, security, andautomation. Ensure all designs are well-documented and transferable, enabling delivery andoperations teams to consistently implement and support solutions. Continuously evolve architecture practices by staying current with modern datacenter and networking technologies, and applying that knowledge to improveinternal platforms. What You Bring (Key Qualifications): Expertise in designing and supporting spine-leaf architecture. 5+ years in network engineering, ideally focused on Service Provider or multi-tenant Data Center architecture. In-depth expertise with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet). In-depth expertise with routing technologies (BGP). In-depth expertise with switching technologies. Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis for systemic architectural themes anddrive corrective design changes. Experience with EVPN/VXLAN overlays. Experience designing and operating large-scale, geographically distributed datacenters. Multi-tenancy design experience (VRFs, segmentation, tenant isolation). WAN experience (including DWDM and inter-DC connectivity). Internet peering design and support experience. Experience with core networking platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell). Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN). Automation experience with IaC tools in a multi-tenant environment (nice to have Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
