About the Role
The Driver will be responsible for picking up wheelchair patients or stretcher patients using a fully loaded vehicle equipped for wheelchairs or stretchers and a GPS system. This position may work independently or with another teammate based on driving assignments.
What You'll Do
Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle
Ensure patients are transported safely from their home to place of service and returned home safely.
Utilize company transportation software
Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
Assume on-call responsibilities
Effectively communicate with leadership
Maintain vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
Valid State Driver's license required
Clean driving record (No more than 1 point)
Ability to successfully pass a drug test and health screening which includes alcohol, TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray
Ability to pass a physical agility test
Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds
Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills
Ability to drive to various locations
Professionalism
Ability to use apps and electronic devices
Preferred Skills
Bilingual language ability preferred
Previous wheelchair transport experience
Final pay rate is determined based on qualifications, experience, and performance, at the employer's discretion.
