Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. About the Job The National Business Manager (NBM), Oncology is a field-based position covering the region described above. In this role, you will be responsible for successfully leading a national team of Key Account Managers, promoting Sarclisa in multiple myeloma indications within a highly competitive marketplace. You will be called upon to successfully lead and motivate your team to execute the national sales strategy, supporting the initiatives set forth in the brand plan. Role reports to the Franchise Lead, Oncology. Main Responsibilities Drive sales team performance to achieve or exceed national revenue and profitability targets for the multiple myeloma therapeutic area Lead all aspects of sales, manage markets pull-through, local speaker/thought leader development, promotional programming, and budget management Hire, coach, train, develop, and lead a national team of Key Account Managers (KAMs), including setting clear and appropriate team objectives, expectations and performance targets Lead the team development of national and regional business plans based on national sales goals, expectations, and available resources, including regional and territory strategies and tactics, as well as resource allocation Ensure national team commercial field insights and the customer perspectives are being shared and incorporated into marketing and cross‑functional strategic and executional plans Contribute to the development of revenue forecasts on an annual, quarterly and as needed basis, including developing and monitoring territory incentive and reward/recognition programs Communicate and collaborate with other sales managers, brand marketing, field and head office reimbursement, medical affairs teams and/or senior management and all other departments necessary in order to facilitate achievement of sales objectives Be an expert in the clinical data that affects current product promotion, disease state and market trends Design and execute effective, motivational and productive sales meetings Manage T&E and assigned product promotional budgets Champion and ensure adherence to IMC and Sanofi compliance SOPs and ethical standards in all field and customer interactions Proactively manage health and safety requirements, including road coaching expectations ~60% travel and significant field time expectations with supporting customer relationship and KAM development About You Basic Qualifications BA/BS Degree Required, preferably in life science or business 10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry 5-7+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including specialty sales and preferably oncology experience, with demonstrated successful sales results Minimum of 3-5 years field management experience, marketing management or equivalent leadership experience, with documented sales achievements, strongly preferred Understanding of IMC Code, field regulatory and compliance requirements Ability to travel day to day as part of regular job requirements; evening and weekend work required for conferences and customer events; additional travel required for internal meetings/training/programs Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) Oncology experience, especially hematology oncology, strongly preferred Sales training and/or marketing management experience Strong understanding of the reimbursement landscape Sales launch experience Demonstrated leadership experience Excellent clinical skills and knowledge Team oriented; excellent general business manager Creative problem solver; solutions oriented HSE Responsibilities Drive the vehicle using safe driving practices, while complying with all current applicable laws and regulations, as well as all Sanofi directives All Canadian based roles require individuals to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of your job responsibilities Equal Opportunity Employer Sanofi is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
