Responsibilities: + Uses two patient identifiers to identify all patients and documents patient history. + Presents relevant patient information to the physician and assesses physician orders. + Labels, prepares, and administers contrast. + Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, all patient information is updated and documented, and all charges are entered correctly in appropriate systems. + Practices and maintains MR safety while performing procedures. + Interacts and communicates with both patients and co-workers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. + Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program. + ARRT registry-eligible technologists must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date. + MR registry required within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or hire date if primary registry has already been acquired. + CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire. + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
