Job Summary As a Summer Mountain Crew helper, you are responsible for assisting Mountain Crew and all departments with daily operations and special events and are expected to deliver a safe and exceptional experience for all mountain guests. Under direct supervision from the Mountain Crew Supervisor and Mountain Operations Duty Manager, the Summer Mountain Crew helper will assist other departments with manual tasks, clean up and tear-down, litter picking, path maintenance, leaf blowing, sweeping and on occasion are expected to assist with line control and other guest related duties. Essential Job Functions Assisting other departments with manual tasks Cleaning of mountain top areas – litter picking, changing garbage’s, sweeping pathways, wiping down signage and seating areas Landscaping mountain top areas and maintaining these areas Mowing lawns Assisting to set up and tear down materials for events Tearing down and setting up of all seasonal signage and attractions in preparation for the new season Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position reports directly to the Mountain Crew Supervisor and Mountain Operations Duty Manager, with no direct supervisory responsibilities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES Previous experience in landscaping an asset Ability to lift 40 lbs. Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others WORKING CONDITIONS Summer Mountain Crew helper will perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include rotation of shifts, day/evening shifts, and weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, shoveling, and other forms of manual tasks.
