Leading wood moulding manufacturing company is looking for a
Moulder Operator
to ensure quality control of product output, organize production scheduling and ongoing monitoring of various moulding machines operation and throughput. The plant is fully equipped with modern production machinery making specialty wood moulding products for both local and export markets.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Production scheduling to meet daily production requirements in an efficient manner
Managing tooling selection/preparation for standard patterns and Moulder setup/operation
Proper operation of production equipment to provide maximum efficiency and quality
Organizing and completing setup changeovers for new production outputs
Ensure quality control of product output with ongoing monitoring and inspections
Training of junior staff in the basics of safe, correct moulder set up and grinding.
Leading and guiding support staff to optimize the overall performance of the department.
To qualify for and be successful in this position you must have:
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience operating a through-feed Moulder making high quality custom profiled components used in cabinets, millwork and some flooring.
Experience operating a precision through-feed moulder such as a Weinig, Wadkin, SCM, Leadermac or similar size production machine
Ability to setup and operate Moulders for quick change overs to make a wide variety of profiles using both hardwood and softwood species
Experience in tooling selection, sharpening, assembly, storage and organization
Experience in handling both smaller and larger runs, at reasonable feed speeds
Experience in monitoring product quality and providing leadership to a production team
Experience in machine maintenance, using factory authorized methods, tools and replacement parts to keep similar types of moulders in proper working order.
