Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our Windsor Tooling team as a: Mold Maker Key Responsibilities The Mold Maker is responsible for completing assigned tasks related to tool builds, repairs, engineering changes, as directed by the Mold Maker Supervisor. Completing tasks as per daily line up from Mold Maker Supervisor in order to meet assigned timelines. Ability to safely operate all required machinery, presses and equipment in order to complete tasks as assigned. Reading and understanding basic part prints. Ability to square small components including water detail. Grinding core pin detail to customer tolerance. Plugging and testing water system in blocks. Accurately spot components and tools Plumbing hydraulic systems on molds. Properly sizing and fitting slides. Trouble shooting during tool build and/or tryouts as necessary. Attending and participating in plant communication meetings. Accurately completes activities for all first tryout activities as assigned. Accurate and timely completion of daily time tickets for job costing and labour hours. To follow organizational codes, values, policies, practices, procedures and instructions in the areas of quality, environment health & safety, security and business operations. Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For The successful candidate must possess strong spotting skills, including the ability to detect and correct fit, alignment, and surface issues to ensure high-quality mold function. Five (5) years' work experience as a Mold Maker. Strong understanding of tool process Sound knowledge of plastic part manufacturing and tooling Plasman values and supports the unique talents and strengths that each employee brings to our organization.
