The Whole Show Restorations Inc. is seeking an experienced flood/restoration technician to join our team.
The Whole Show Restorations works with insurers and loss-adjusting firms to provide disaster restorations services to commercial and residential clients 24/7/365. Our employees are dedicated claims handlers and restoration technicians who collectively strive to reduce the insurance claim life cycle and support businesses and homeowners during this stressful period. Our service area includes Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Port Alberni, and surrounding areas.
Job Duties
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform restoration activities such as water extraction, minor demolition, and debris disposal
Responsible for installation, monitoring and removal of specialty drying equipment
Regular monitoring of moisture levels in affected building materials
Assist with contents activities such as inventory, packing up and manipulation of contents
Assist with cleaning structures/contents and post-construction cleaning
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience in the restoration industry
IICRC certifications are an asset
Must be physically fit and able to lift over 35 lbs
Must have the physical capability of working in smoky, confined and/or water damaged environments
Ability to use common hand and power tools while maintaining a safe job site
Friendly, personable and able to manage challenging situations in a professional manner
Positive attitude, team player
Clean criminal record and driver’s abstract
A valid BC driver’s license is required
A reliable vehicle to get to and from head office is required
Must have own hand tools
Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency calls
Wage, Benefits & Incentives
$27 to $31 per depending on experience
Opportunities for training and advancement are available
Full-time, 40+ hours per week
