We are seeking a motivated Mine Engineer-in-Training (Mine EIT) to support underground mine development planning and scheduling activities. Working closely with the Mine Engineering team, the successful candidate will assist with short- and medium-term planning, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe and efficient mining operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career mining engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in an active underground mining environment while working alongside experienced technical professionals. Key Responsibilities Assist with short- and medium-term mine planning and production scheduling. Support underground development planning and tracking of mining activities. Monitor production progress and compare actual performance against mine plans. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and planning updates. Assist with ventilation, haulage, and development planning as required. Conduct field inspections and collect operational data to support mine planning activities. Collaborate with Operations, Geology, Survey, Geotechnical, and Maintenance teams to coordinate development activities. Identify opportunities to improve mine productivity, efficiency, and safety. Assist in updating mine designs, schedules, and planning documentation. Ensure engineering work is completed in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safe mining practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering. Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). 1–3 years of mining engineering experience, preferably in an underground mining environment. Knowledge of mine planning and scheduling principles. Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik, MineSched, Vulcan, Datamine, or similar is considered an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
