An established fully automated Planermill producing softwood lumber products using modern high-speed production machinery, for both local and export markets is looking for an experience

Recent upgrades in production capacity mean we need to add to our technical staff to keep up with our expanded production goals. Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial wood machinery and equipment including custom designed equipment for specialty production, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Suggest methods of improvement to equipment to optimize production efficiency, fabricate parts/equipment as required
Inspect and examine machinery to troubleshoot irregularities and resolve malfunctions
Participate in preventative maintenance program and help create programs for new equipment as built
Interpret technical manuals and drawings
Complete detailed work orders/commissioning documentation
Qualifications:
A minimum three years’ experience working in a mechanical role as a Millwright preferably in a wood products production facility
Red Seal certification
Experience with mobile equipment, aerial platforms, and forklifts
Machine repair, fabricating, welding, equipment installation and troubleshooting experience
Strong pneumatic and hydraulic aptitude
Some exposure to digitally controlled technology (e.g., PLC) is preferred to ensure you can diagnose issues that can arise in an automated or semi-automated production environment
Comfortable working with computers
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
