Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Millwright (Journeyperson, Apprentice, or Non-Ticketed) Job Overview Join a mechanical installation team in Calgary to support the final stages of a large-scale conveyor system project. This is a hands-on role focused on the installation, commissioning, and optimization of industrial conveyor systems in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is installed correctly, aligned to specification, and operating safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Support the installation, start-up, and commissioning of conveyor systems within an active industrial/construction site Fabricate, modify, and install mechanical components as needed to complete system integration Align and install frames, rollers, belts, motors, gearboxes, and drive systems to specification Track and adjust conveyor belts; identify and resolve misalignment and performance issues Perform precision levelling and alignment using hand tools and laser equipment Install and secure motors, bearings, fasteners, and guards to ensure safe system operation Adjust and calibrate sensors to support proper system detection and performance Inspect safety systems including guards, emergency stops, and lockout points Troubleshoot mechanical issues during commissioning and implement corrective actions Document deficiencies, punch list items, and communicate updates to the project team Work at heights and follow all site safety requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with site standards Collaborate with other trades to meet project timelines Be available for overtime and extended shifts to meet project deadlines Required Qualifications Experience as a Millwright, Apprentice, or non-ticketed millwright with strong mechanical aptitude Non-ticketed candidates must have 3+ years of conveyor and commissioning experience Hands-on experience with conveyor installation, alignment, and troubleshooting Strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently Work Environment & Schedule Industrial site located in Southeast Calgary Working alongside multiple trades in a large, active facility Standard hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Overtime available based on project requirements Why This Opportunity Immediate local work in Calgary – no travel required Significant overtime potential to maximize earnings Opportunity to work on a large, high-profile industrial project Potential for long-term work or future projects with a growing team Strong exposure to conveyor systems, commissioning, and large-scale mechanical installations Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
