THE ROLE The Military Family Services (MFS) Program Specialist develops, implements, optimizes, and measures marketing programs and channels. This includes writing and editing creative and technical content across different mediums while ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to. The role also encompasses the planning and coordination of seasonal campaigns, events, and outreach opportunities. The Program Specialist will collaborate and work cross-functionally to roll out marketing campaigns on programs and services and report on the overall performance of engagement. Additionally, they will work with key stakeholders in analyzing trends to identify new opportunities and execute strategic marketing initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Social Science, Education, Administration, Community Development or a related field AND several years of experience in family support, social services or a related field Experience In program and service delivery In developing and implementing community programs and services In creating briefing materials and presentations In community engagement In establishing, sustaining and fostering a network of community contacts and partnerships In applying policies, procedures and applicable legislation and regulations In developing standardized content and operational procedures In project management In marketing, communications, proofreading, layout and design In delivering family support services In planning, coordinating and conducting training (including adult education) In drafting correspondence In budget administration In working with a multidisciplinary team Competencies, Skills and Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening. This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of August 24, 2026 and end date of March 31, 2027. Possibility of contract extension.
