Mechanical Engineering Technologist
to join their growing technical team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to gain practical experience in mechanical design, engineering documentation, and advanced 3D modeling while contributing to technically challenging projects.
Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, you will support engineering and project teams throughout the design and documentation process.Key responsibilities include:
Prepare and release fabrication drawings and technical documentation.
Assist with material inspections, tracking, and project documentation.
Produce drawing packages and engineering reports.
Develop and modify mechanical designs using Autodesk design software.
Create detailed models of process piping systems, including piping, valves, pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, and other mechanical equipment.
Support the implementation of BIM, point cloud technology, and advanced 3D modeling solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure designs are accurate and production-ready.
Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout project execution.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and engineering processes.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary of
$55,000 per year
$5,500 retention bonus
Total annual compensation potential of
$60,500
Overtime paid at
1.5x
after 44 hours per week
