We are currently seeking a talented
Mechanical Engineer
to join our Team, based either in our
Mississauga or Kitchener
office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC and other aspects of mechanical engineering for buildings. They should demonstrate expertise in buildings decarbonization or deep retrofit projects, high energy efficiency projects and strong abilities in cultivating relationships with clients. The candidate should be driven to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges as well as accompanying the clients through the design process for an array of different building types in institutional, commercial and municipal infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare the design of institutional buildings including education, recreation, health care, municipal, and commercial projects, as well as other types of buildings such as industrial and transportation
Working with a lead engineer to liaise with clients and maintain business relationships
Investigate, survey and audit sites
Manage and work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to construction completion including tender and construction/contract administration
Help oversee and delegate work as needed to junior staff
Prepare technical reports
Prepare and write specifications
Prepare construction cost estimates
Project planning including design schedule, and proposed construction schedules
Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
