Job DescriptionJob Description
MECHANIC
Biggar SK
Keep the fleet rolling. Keep the harvest moving.
Trucks, trailers, ag equipment, forklifts - if it rolls through our yard and something's wrong with it, you're the one who makes it right again. We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused who takes pride in quality work, thinks on their feet, and keeps our equipment moving so the rest of the team doesn't have to slow down.
WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
In The Shop
Preventative maintenance, engine and transmission work, brake and suspension repairs, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics - heavy trucks, trailers, ag equipment, and everything in between comes through your bay. You inspect it, diagnose it, fix it, and document it.
On The Road
When something breaks down in the field, you go to it. Service calls and field repairs keep crews and customers moving during our busiest stretches, and you're ready for it.
Same shop, same crew - just a different problem to solve every day.
SHOW ME THE MONEY
Competitive wage based on experience and certification
Paid overtime during peak season and emergency repair calls
Comprehensive benefits for you and your family
Defined contribution pension plan with fast-track contributions
Complimentary Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
Annual wellness spending account
Company-wide activities and festivities
WHAT YOU BRING
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification preferred - equivalent hands-on experience considered
Strong grasp of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
Comfortable reading technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
Valid driver's license; Class 1A or willingness to obtain - an asset
Ability to lift heavy components and handle physically demanding work
Willing to work overtime and pitch in during seasonal peak-hour demands
Must live in or close to the community of Biggar SK
Considered an asset, but we're happy to train the right candidate
Experience with ag equipment, heavy trucks, trailers, or construction equipment
Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and safety inspection procedures
Computer literacy and experience with electronic work order systems
WHY THE RACK
We hire and fire on 5 Core Values: Nimble, Knowledge, Passionate, Problem Solver, and Humble. This isn't a job where you disappear into a corporate maze - you'll be a hands-on part of a team that keeps local operations running with real expertise and genuine care.
