Our client, a leading logistics and freight services provider, is seeking a Mechanic to join their team. As a Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanic class A Location: 62 Vulcan Street, Etobicoke, ON Pay: $45.26/hour Shift: Monday to Friday: 5:30pm to 2:00am (40 hours/week) What's the Job? Inspect, diagnose, repair, and install parts on delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure proper function and safety. Conduct maintenance and repairs, order parts, and update work orders while communicating with suppliers and operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report quality control issues, determining their cause and necessary repairs. Maintain parts inventory, purchase parts required for vehicle maintenance, and determine if parts can be rebuilt or repaired. Coordinate administrative requirements for preventative maintenance and provide emergency road service when vehicles break down. What's Needed? Completion of specialized trade or occupational courses from a community college or equivalent. Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310T) with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Valid G Driver's License with a clear Driver's Abstract that meets insurance requirements. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and collision repairs effectively. Proficiency in English for communication with stakeholders. What's in it for me?
