KIMEP, School of Law is looking for applicants for the following position: Job Title: Law School Marketing Officer Division: Academic Affairs Department: Law School Position reports to: Administrative Manager of the Law School Job Purpose Summary: The Law School Marketing Officer is responsible for designing and then implementing a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy in order to increase public awareness and the reputation of the Law School, enhance the quality and quantity of enrollment and support the employability of graduates. The job encompasses marketing, communications, media relations, social media strategy and administration, website and social media updates, oversight of print and digital materials, photo and video production, outdoor and targeted ads campaigns, and event/conference management- providing support for the Law School, most especially its clinical practice, Student Bar Association and faculty scholarship/service. The Marketing Officer is an integral part of the Dean’s Office and may be called upon to collaborate on and complete other tasks in furtherance of the School’s mission of advancing the Rule of Law in Central Asia and supporting the practice of law. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Strategic planning and implementation of promotion of activities organized by the Law School: Placement of articles and advertisement in media (printed, digital); Placement of relevant messages on KIMEP web-site; Oversee development and production of promo materials (brochures, posters, banners, flyers, special issues of KIMEP Times, etc.); Preparation of email-newsletter layouts; Strategic planning and implementation of marketing activities to promote academic programs, student activities, alumni events, academic conferences and the like in the Law School; Marketing of legal services in the clinical programs of the Law School. Prepare or edit daily and weekly social media posts, announcements, PR articles, press-releases; Brief and coordinate videographers/photographers and participants of video (alumni, students and faculty) on photo/video production; Prepare scripts for promo videos; Manage, administrate KIMEP Law School official accounts; Conduct stories and live streams from Law School events; Develop visual and promotional materials (posters, brochures, banners, presentations, etc.) using Canva or similar graphic design tools. Conduct mobile video shooting and editing for social media and digital platforms. Conduct targeted campaigns and analyze the report; Administration of KIMEP Law School programs’ web-pages, on its relevance, up-to-date information in three languages, attractiveness for users. Promotion of those pages among KIMEP online-community in close cooperation with Webmaster and R&A assigned staff members; Coordinate Law School promo-activities on the territory of KIMEP and outside of university; Coordinate the documentation flow (budget, contracts & accounting documents), prepare paperwork and information required for the effective cooperation between the MCPR Department and the external and internal bodies; Writing and distribution of the internal printed Perform other duties as might be directed by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR, Communications, Marketing or Law. Fluency in professional English and Russian. Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading skills, ability to present concepts verbally. Good relationships with local media outlets. Demonstrated ability to function effectively using social media platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Fluent written and spoken Kazakh is an advantage. Good relationships with local media outlets desired. 1-2 years relevant to the position experience is also preferred.
