Campaign Conductor: You’re a strategic marketing leader who knows how to turn a campaign from a loose idea into a fully coordinated revenue machine. You’ve planned offers, mapped customer journeys, briefed channels, aligned stakeholders, watched the numbers, and made smart optimizations when performance demanded it. Fluent in the full funnel, you know paid media, ecommerce, email, loyalty, creative, customer service, and analytics all need to work together — or the customer feels the cracks. If that sounds like you, here’s your next big opportunity: AlgaeCal is searching for a top-tier Marketing Leader (Campaigns) to join our team and propel our revenue growth to new heights. Small print here ⇒ We’re an eCommerce company. So, we want you to have eCommerce experience. Lots of it. So if you don’t love digital marketing the way cats love cream, you probably shouldn’t read any further. Still here? Okay then… This job will give you ALL the feels: At AlgaeCal, we’re driven by a single idea. To end the fear of bone loss. In the United States, an estimated 54 million people have low bone density. The good news? AlgaeCal has the world’s only clinically-backed natural solution to this problem. We give hope to everyone worried about bone loss. If that excites you, you’ll find no better place to continue your career than at AlgaeCal. This job might be for you if you’ve got… 2+ years of marketing leadership experience planning and executing D2C campaigns in an eCommerce environment. You’ve led campaigns from the first messy idea through briefing, approvals, launch, optimization, reporting, and "okay, what did we learn?" You know campaigns don’t magically happen because someone made a promo calendar. They happen because someone owns the moving parts. A Yoda-like ability to make strategic, data-driven decisions. When we look at your resume, we’ll see proof that you know how to turn campaign performance data into smart decisions. CPA, ROAS, revenue, customer segments, contribution margin, EBITDA - these numbers don’t make your eyes glaze over. They make your brain start whirring. A full-funnel brain that sees the whole customer journey. Paid media, email, ecommerce, loyalty, organic social, affiliates, influencers, customer service, marketplaces - you understand these channels don’t live in separate little kingdoms. They all touch the same customer. And if the journey feels disjointed, confusing, repetitive, or poorly timed, performance suffers. Strategy that converts like a tent revival. You’ve planned campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate people to take action. You understand offer strategy, timing, landing pages, upsells, cross-sells, bundles, coupons, discount logic, and the tiny campaign mechanics that can quietly make or break revenue. You know when evergreen ads, emails, popups, organic posts, or automations need to pause, shift, suppress, or get out of the way so a live campaign can do its job. A brain the size of a small planet! In this role, you’ll need to think imaginatively and act strategically. You’ll balance company priorities, finance approvals, product logistics, creative capacity, compliance, customer service needs, and channel constraints without melting into a puddle. A results-driven approach to paid media and campaign budget. You’ve worked closely with Paid Media teams, helped allocate spend across campaigns, and know how to look beyond surface-level ROAS. Revenue is nice. Profitability is nicer. You understand unit economics, contribution margin, and why a campaign can look good in one dashboard and less thrilling in another. A track record of leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional coordination. You’ve worked with channel owners, project managers, analysts, creatives, and senior leaders to get campaigns out the door without everyone needing therapy afterward. You guide, influence, pitch, negotiate, and push back when needed - without turning into a tiny workplace dictator. The ability to put on the Customer Hat at all times. You think through what a new prospect sees, what a returning customer receives, how reward points affect the offer, what happens if someone talks to Customer Service, and whether the whole experience actually makes sense to a real human being. Experience designing and executing customer journeys. From first click to final purchase, from campaign email to landing page, from retargeting ad to checkout, from BAU content to live promo, you know how to make every touchpoint feel connected, intentional, and easy to follow. A thick portfolio that demonstrates your mastery of all-things eCommerce. Sorry, but if you have to Google what a heatmap is, don’t know why site speed matters, or think an A/B test is just "trying a different headline," this probably isn’t the job for you. A detective’s eye for revenue leakage. Coupon abuse, conflicting emails, poorly timed popups, expired offers, unclear bundles, bad suppression logic, clunky checkout journeys, ads running to the wrong page - you can spot the problems before they quietly drain sales. An encyclopedic knowledge of today’s martech, adtech, attribution, and analytics landscape. You don’t blindly trust one dashboard because it has a pretty graph. You understand tools like Triple Whale and GA4 can disagree, and you know how to contextualize performance instead of taking any single source as gospel. A strong grasp of testing strategy. A/B testing, multivariate testing, UX tests, offer tests, funnel tests, creative tests - you know how to plan tests that align with bigger roadmaps instead of throwing spaghetti at a wall and calling it "experimentation." A solid understanding of UI/UX. This isn’t essential, but it’s a definite plus. You don’t need to be a designer, but you should understand how UX and UI choices affect customer behavior, conversion, trust, and campaign performance. And yes, we might swoon if you have it. A healthy respect for compliance, claims, and DISCLAIMERS. We work in the health space, which means "close enough" is not close enough. You’ll need to understand marketing claims, product basics, customer service considerations, and legal DISCLAIMERS well enough to keep campaigns accurate, compliant, and trustworthy. Other Qualities You’ll Need You’re humble–you put the team and others’ needs ahead of your own You’re hungry to learn more You’re people smart–in the sense that you’re a great teammate The truth is, if you don’t have these qualities, you won’t last long at AlgaeCal. So if you’re missing one of them, be honest. Save yourself a lot of headaches and skip to a job posting that is a better fit for you. What Will You Earn? We believe in rewarding top talent. So let’s talk about salary once we’ve had the chance to get to know you better. Rest assured, we’re generous and offer above-market pay for the right person. If you bring the skills and experience, we’ll make sure the compensation reflects that. You’ll also enjoy the following benefits: Monthly team events and activities Flexible Stat Holidays with the option to bank days for later use Weekly team lunches Casual dress code Incredible dog-friendly, Yaletown office one block from SkyTrain And above all, you’ll join a team that you’ll never want to leave. Culture is everything to us. Yes, we work extremely hard to change as many people’s lives as possible. But we know how to have fun and reward ourselves too. #J-18808-Ljbffr
