About the role
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing digital marketing campaigns, content development, and promotional initiatives that increase national visibility, employer engagement, and student participation in Career Ready programs.
This role plays a key part in driving awareness and demand through targeted digital campaigns, content strategy, and performance tracking. Working closely with the Social Media Coordinator and under the leadership of the Senior Program Manager (Development & Growth), the Marketing Coordinator ensures Career Ready initiatives are effectively positioned, consistently branded, and strategically promoted across Canada.
The position requires strong execution skills in digital campaigns, web content management, and analytics, with a focus on measurable performance and continuous optimization.
The ideal candidate will also bring practical design skills, with the ability to edit and adapt branded templates for program assets, campaign materials, presentations, and digital content. While not required, candidates are encouraged to highlight any relevant design experience or sample work within their application.
Responsibilities Campaigns & Performance Lane
Campaign Development & Execution (40%)
Build and deploy national marketing campaigns aligned with program resources and deliverables (e.g., work placement growth and wage subsidies) and AI-focused workforce priorities
Support marketing strategy and lead campaign operationalization, including channel planning, deployment, and ongoing optimization
Develop campaign timelines, audience segmentation approaches, and performance tracking frameworks
Coordinate campaign assets and messaging in collaboration with program leads
Monitor campaign performance and adjust tactics to improve reach, engagement, and conversion outcomes
Ensure campaigns are aligned with inclusion and reconciliation messaging where appropriate
Digital Marketing & Content Development (30%)
Develop and execute structured, conversion-focused communications across campaigns, with narratives that drive audience action and engagement:
Email campaigns and newsletters
Paid ads / program promotions
Campaign messaging, narratives, and campaign-specific landing pages
A/B testing
Working with the Content & Engagement Coordinator, support and advise on the cohesive development of outward-facing, real-time, channel-native content (social, web, SEO)
Optimize content for engagement and reach across digital channels
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials
Campaign Performance & Analytics (15%)
Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (engagement, conversion, reach, registration trends)
Prepare performance summaries and recommendations for optimization
Collaborate with Data & Evaluation team to align marketing metrics with placement and participation outcomes
Identify opportunities to improve targeting, messaging, and digital performance
Stakeholder & Program Support (15%)
Support promotional efforts for experiential initiatives, Workforce Inclusion programming, and employer engagement activities
Collaborate with program teams to translate program objectives into clear marketing messages
Coordinate with TECHNATIONs Communications team to ensure alignment with broader messaging
Other duties as assigned.

Program Coordinators (to support program-specific events, outreach, and marketing initiatives)
Social Media Coordinator and Program Coordinators (to develop and execute event and program promotion strategies)
Data Analysts (to develop dashboards and track performance metrics)
Admin Team (for event logistics and coordination)
Executive Director, Communications & Marketing to ensure brand and messaging alignment
External:
Industry partners and TECHNATION members (to support campaign collaboration, employer engagement, and promotional initiatives)
Community organizations, post-secondary institutions, and ecosystem partners (to amplify campaigns and drive student participation)
Digital vendors and marketing platforms (e.g., design, advertising channels, etc.)
Program participants (students, employers, post-secondary institution staff) to support communications, campaign promotion, and feedback collection
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
Completed post-secondary education in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, campaign execution, or communications.
Demonstrated experience building and executing multi-channel digital campaigns (email, web, social, paid or organic).
Strong understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and campaign performance measurement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate program objectives into compelling messaging.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., WordPress or similar CMS, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, analytics dashboards).
Experience tracking and interpreting campaign performance metrics (engagement, conversion, reach, CTR, etc.).
Basic graphic design capability (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to develop digital promotional materials.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Assets:
Experience using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar platforms to edit templates and produce polished, brand-aligned marketing and program materials is a significant asset.
Experience executing national or large-scale marketing campaigns.
Bilingualism (English/French).
Familiarity with workforce development, work-integrated learning (WIL), or experiential learning initiatives.
Experience in the tech, innovation, or nonprofit sector.
Knowledge of marketing automation tools and CRM integration.
Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, email analytics dashboards).
