About the Role Drive process improvements, reduce waste, and increase throughput and quality across manufacturing operations. This role owns the technical performance of production processes from raw material input to finished goods Key Responsibilities Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, cycle time, and quality Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for process-related defects and downtime Design, specify, and implement new equipment, tooling, and process changes Develop and maintain process documentation: work instructions, standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams Partner with Quality to ensure processes meet specification and regulatory requirements Support new product introduction - scale lab/pilot processes to full production Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain Ensure all process changes comply with safety standards and do not compromise worker safety Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar) Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Preferred Qualifications Experience in rubber, polymer, or flooring/matting manufacturing Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (extrusion, molding, cutting, assembly, or relevant to product line) Experience with rubber pressing operations, including compression molding, press cycle times, curing parameters, and mold/tooling maintenance Experience troubleshooting rubber press variables (temperature, pressure, dwell/cure time) to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield Hands-on knowledge of printing processes (screen printing, digital/inkjet, or flexographic printing) as applied to product decoration or branding Experience optimizing print quality (registration, color consistency, ink/substrate adhesion) on production printing equipment Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Experience supporting multi-site or cross-border manufacturing operations Familiarity with ERP/MES systems Physical Requirements Ability to work on the production floor in a manufacturing environment Occasional travel between sites
