We are partnering with a leading organization to appoint a Managing Director to oversee a large, complex account within a critical infrastructure environment.
This role carries full accountability for the performance of the account, including client relationship, profitability, service delivery, and team leadership. The successful candidate will operate as the senior-most leader on the account, effectively running it as a standalone business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Financial Leadership
Full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
Drive profitability through operational efficiencies, process improvement, and strategic planning
Lead capital planning initiatives and ensure alignment with client objectives
Account & Client Management
Act as the primary point of contact for senior and executive-level stakeholders
Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust
Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion of services
Service Delivery & Operations
Oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring contractual obligations and performance metrics are achieved
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, technology, and processes
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop a team of 40+ professionals across multiple functions
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and development
Oversee hiring, performance management, and succession planning
Business Development
Support and contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the account
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and pursue new opportunities
Candidate Profile
10+ years of experience leading large, complex business units or portfolios
Proven track record of full P&L accountability and delivering financial results
Strong background in facilities management, asset management, or infrastructure environments
Engineering background is preferred; professional designation considered an asset
Experience within utilities, energy, or related sectors is highly desirable
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly at the executive level
Strong commercial acumen combined with operational depth
Ability to translate technical and financial concepts into clear, actionable insights
Comfortable operating in complex, evolving environments with a high degree of autonomy
