About the Role Delta, British Columbia, Canada – City of Delta invites applicants for an exempt Manager, Engineering Design position reporting to the Deputy Director of Engineering (Design & Construction). The successful candidate will coordinate, design, and serve as Engineer of Record for in‑house engineering projects such as watermains, storm and sanitary sewers, intersection signals, pump stations, and roadway infrastructure. The position is located at City Hall. Responsibilities Review contract documents and engineering specifications. Develop engineering designs, prepare and seal record drawings. Prepare project schedules and budgets. Conduct field inspections to ensure work meets contractual, regulatory, and municipal standards. Deliver projects in a timely and cost‑effective manner while maintaining high quality. Engage community and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Professional Engineering designation and a minimum of 5 years of related experience leading engineering projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Good standing with Engineering and Geoscientists of British Columbia. Experience working as a consultant and/or in the public sector on municipal engineering projects is an asset. Expertise in transportation, roads, and underground utility design or a related field. Class 5 driver’s license. Benefits Competitive salary range of $140,260 – $167,262.
