Reporting to the Director, Community Engagement, the Manager, Community Engagement is responsible for maintaining the meaningful connections between our organization and the communities in which we operate, specifically focused on British Columbia, Canada. This role will enable and support our community engagement efforts across grants, sponsorships, events, and municipal relations, while aligning our external presence with our internal culture. The person in this role thrives at the intersection of relationship-building, impact-driven programming, and brand stewardship. In this role, you will be a vital part of a small cross-functional team to deliver on the initiatives of our business in accordance with the agreed and approved strategic plan. Requirements Proven experience in community engagement, corporate social responsibility, public affairs, or a related field. Strong existing relationships with local government organizations, businesses and non-profit organizations. Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders including governments, nonprofits, and local communities. Superior project management experience, with an eye on details and the ability to coordinate multiple resources to deliver on objectives Ability to design and deliver programs that are impactful, measurable, and aligned with business strategy. Comfortable with public speaking and representing the organization in external forums. Collaborative thinker with a passion for social impact and brand stewardship. Experience coordinating internal engagement programs is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership, service providers and potentially members of the community Thorough research and problem-solving skills Superior time management and multitasking skills with a strong sense of urgency
