Malace|HR is seeking a versatile and experienced
Maintenance Technician
with strong skills in
carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting
. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can perform a wide range of facility maintenance tasks to ensure the proper operation, safety, and appearance of commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry:
Repair and install doors, frames, drywall, cabinetry, and other structural elements
Plumbing:
Maintain and repair sinks, toilets, water lines, and other plumbing fixtures
Electrical:
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs including lighting, outlets, switches, and minor installations
Painting:
Prepare surfaces, patch holes, and apply interior and exterior paint as needed
Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment
Complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner
Maintain an organized work environment and manage maintenance tools and supplies
Communicate effectively with supervisors and facility personnel regarding repair needs and status updates
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety codes and company policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
2+ years of general maintenance experience, including hands-on work in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting
Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals
Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed
HVAC or other trade certifications are a plus, but not required
