Job Overview Job Title: Maintenance Technician Department: Maintenance Division: Vancouver Reports To: Plant Engineer Job Requirements Technical Proficiency: Familiar with hand tools for fabrication and installation. Equipment Maintenance: Ability to install and rebuild process pumps and perform preventative maintenance on machinery. Documentation: Accurately document all work completed within the Computerized Maintenance Management System ( CMMS ). Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; logical troubleshooting skills are considered a strong asset. Systems Knowledge: Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and boilers. Repairs: Experience replacing and repairing control valves; ability to clean, lubricate, and replace defective machinery parts. Rigging & Lifting: Ability to use rigging equipment for machinery installation and servicing. Certifications: Must be willing to obtain Forklift, Fall Protection, and Aerial Boom Lift tickets. Preferred Experience Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose low and medium voltage circuits . Familiarity with Allen Bradley VFDs, PLCs, and Servos . Direct experience with HMIs and Industrial Computers. Education & Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with one of the following: Red Seal Industrial Electrician Red Seal Millwright Bachelor’s degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field. Core Competencies Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to personnel across various functional areas. Physical Abilities: * Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions. Capability to handle regular standing, walking, and the use of tools/controls. Occasional lifting of up to 51 lbs , sitting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing. Licensing: Valid driver’s license required. Schedule & Availability Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday. Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and some weekends as necessary.
