Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Maintenance Coordinator at our 591 Arvin facility. Job Summary & Reporting Structure: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager or designate, the Maintenance Coordinator supports the Maintenance department through the coordination of preventive maintenance, MRO purchasing, spare-parts inventory, CMMS administration, contractor coordination and maintenance-related reporting . The position works closely with Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, EHS and external suppliers to ensure maintenance requirements are effectively coordinated while supporting Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Maintenance & CMMS Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and scheduling. Maintain the Megamation CMMS, including assets, work orders, PM records, schedules, equipment setup and reports. Collect maintenance data and prepare monthly BOS/KPI reports and other maintenance reports as required. Support maintenance audits, contingency planning and preventive maintenance planning. Provide floor support and assist with maintenance job setup as required. Provide backup support to the Maintenance Planner. MRO Purchasing & Vendor Coordination Create and maintain purchase requisitions and MRO purchase orders, including blanket orders, services and waste management requirements. Source, order and expedite MRO materials and services, including urgent/emergency maintenance requirements. Follow up on deliveries and coordinate with vendors, contractors and internal departments. Resolve payment discrepancies with Finance and vendors and identify opportunities to eliminate recurring issues. Maintain vendor master data and obtain credit information when required. Provide backup support to the Buyer of Indirect Purchasing. Inventory & Maintenance Crib Order, receive and track MRO materials and critical spare parts. Maintain accurate inventory levels and establish appropriate minimum/maximum quantities. Set up and maintain parts information in the Megamation CMMS. Maintain the maintenance crib in a clean, organized and visually controlled condition. Maintain and improve Vendor Managed Inventory programs to minimize stockouts, excess inventory and MRO costs. Contractor Coordination Coordinate contractors working on and off site. Maintain contractor records, including EHS compliance documentation, WSIB and insurance information. Maintain material master data and contractor database records. Monitor hot work activities and required documentation/sign-offs. Coordinate confined-space activities, including required personnel, equipment and documentation. Support audits and hazardous waste requirements as required. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve MRO purchasing, inventory management, preventive maintenance processes and CMMS utilization. Support initiatives that improve maintenance efficiency, equipment reliability and cost control. Ensure ongoing adherence to Tiercon's Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures. Qualifications: Education Grade 12 diploma is required. Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered. Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment . Experience with MRO purchasing, inventory management, parts expediting or vendor coordination. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer and web-based research skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Flexibility to support urgent parts tracking and sourcing requirements, including occasional after-hours support. Experience expediting parts, including customs requirements, is an asset. Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and components, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, molding and robotic equipment, is an asset. Experience with a CMMS, particularly Megamation, is an asset.
