La personne participe principalement à la fabrication et à la conception de nouvelles pièces à l’aide d’un tour et d’une fraiseuse conventionnels, tout en assurant l’entretien et l’amélioration des équipements existants dans un environnement mécanique et de production. Responsabilités Lire et interpréter avec précision des plans et dessins techniques. Régler et utiliser un tour conventionnel pour usiner des pièces selon les spécifications requises. Régler et utiliser une fraiseuse conventionnelle pour fabriquer des composantes mécaniques. Participer activement à la conception et à la fabrication de nouvelles pièces, représentant environ 70 % du rôle. Effectuer l’usinage, la modification et l’ajustement de pièces sur des équipements existants. Réaliser des opérations de meulage (grinding) et d’usinage manuel au besoin. Effectuer le dépannage (troubleshooting) mécanique de base sur les pièces et outillages. Contrôler la qualité des pièces produites en respectant les tolérances et les normes établies. Collaborer avec l’équipe de production et d’ingénierie pour optimiser les méthodes de travail. Maintenir son aire de travail propre, sécuritaire et organisée dans un environnement manufacturier. Job Title: Conventional Machinist Job Description The conventional machinist joins a daytime team in a well-established manufacturing company. The person primarily contributes to the fabrication and design of new parts using conventional lathes and milling machines, while also supporting the maintenance and improvement of existing equipment in a mechanical and production environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Set up and operate a conventional lathe to machine parts according to specifications. Set up and operate a conventional milling machine to manufacture mechanical components. Actively participate in the design and fabrication of new parts, representing approximately 70% of the role. Perform machining, modification, and adjustment of parts on existing equipment. Carry out grinding and manual machining operations as required. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on parts and tooling. Inspect and verify the quality of machined parts, ensuring tolerances and standards are met. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize work methods. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area within the manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Hands-on experience machining on conventional lathes and milling machines. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
