Machine Operator Assistant Location: Brantford, ON Shift: Monday to Thursday | 2:55 PM - 12:55 AM Pay: $20.50/hour About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Brantford, is looking for a Machine Operator Assistant to join their afternoon shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working around metal fabrication equipment who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment. Please Note: This position is not accessible by public transit . Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from work. What You'll Be Doing As a Machine Operator Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with the operation of brake press, punch press, shear and other metal fabrication equipment Operating a brake press (machine operation only - no die setup required) Feeding steel planks through a steel expanding machine Cutting expanded steel using a shear machine Flattening expanded steel using a flattening mill Inspecting materials to ensure quality standards are met Following production schedules and work instructions Maintaining a clean and safe work area Following all company health and safety policies and wearing required PPE at all times What We're Looking For Previous experience operating or assisting with a brake press, punch press, shear, or similar manufacturing equipment Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is considered an asset Ability to frequently bend, lift, and perform physically demanding work Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic Own reliable transportation (required) Why Apply?
