Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. The role involves the assembly and disassembly of equipment at the beginning and end of shifts, operating machines safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets, ensuring finished goods conform to prescribed quality standards, performing necessary adjustments on the machine as required, and accurately completing production paperwork. Responsibilities Assemble and disassemble equipment at the beginning and end of shifts. Operate machines safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets. Ensure finished goods conform to prescribed quality standards. Perform necessary adjustments on the machine as required. Accurately complete necessary production paperwork. Work in refrigerated temperatures ranging from 8-10 degrees Celsius. Handle various foods, including raw and cooked meat. Essential Skills Mechanically inclined with experience as a machine operator. Ability to lift 40lbs, sometimes repetitively. Comfortable standing for 8 hours in refrigerated temperatures. Proficient English communication skills. Willingness to work with raw and cooked meat. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in food/beverage/pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred. Collaborative and problem-solving approach to communication. Work Environment The work environment is a busy food manufacturing facility with conveyors and machines constantly running. It is a very fast-paced setting, with temperatures of 8-10 degrees Celsius on the production floor and in general warehouse areas. The primary work location is the Fraserwood warehouse, which includes cooler and freezer rooms. The shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Employees must adhere to a dress code of steel toe work boots and avoid jewelry, nail polish, and fake eyelashes due to food handling requirements. Please note, this is a no-nut facility due to allergies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.
