The Opportunity
Our client, an established residential construction company, is seeking an experienced
Site Superintendent
to support a low-rise residential project in the Brampton-Caledon area.
This role is best suited to someone with strong experience overseeing the
rough construction stages
of low-rise residential projects and coordinating trades through the early and mid-stages of construction.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations during the rough construction stages
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel
Manage construction schedules and ensure work progresses efficiently
Monitor workmanship, quality and site conditions
Coordinate inspections and address construction-related issues as they arise
Review drawings and construction documentation
Ensure trades are properly sequenced and upcoming work is prepared in advance
Maintain site safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Track deficiencies and ensure outstanding work is addressed
Work closely with the broader construction team to maintain project timelines
Qualifications
5+ years of site supervision experience within
low-rise residential construction
Strong experience with the
rough construction phase
Experience with detached, semi-detached and/or townhouse construction
Strong understanding of foundations, framing, roofing, building envelope and rough-ins
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Strong scheduling, coordination and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Ontario construction practices and safety requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage trades
Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
