Description
J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a Logistics Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing, analytics, and supplier performance across logistics operations. This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Manager of Logistics Sourcing.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $77,500 per year
Responsibilities
Analyze logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities and risks, with a focus on outbound truck and rail freight
Maintain freight tables and contracts across TMS platforms (e.g., E1, MercuryGate) to ensure data integrity and continuity
Support supplier and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and performance metrics
Develop and deliver monthly freight reports tailored to affiliate networks and regional markets
Lead outbound freight RFP/RFQ processes, including:
Collecting and validating forecasts
Gathering lane specific details pertinent to pricing considerations
Consolidating and issuing bid packages
Analyzing responses and providing award recommendations
Conduct detailed data analysis to support sourcing initiatives and strategic decisions
Identify continuous improvement opportunities using industry best practices
Manage multiple projects concurrently
Travel as required.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2–5 years of progressive experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain (manufacturing experience preferred)
Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with TMS systems such as MercuryGate, E1/E2 (preferred)
Proficiency with RFP implementation & optimization software would be considered and asset.
