Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized care and daily living assistance to clients in a private home setting. The caregiver will reside with the client and support their physical, emotional, and social well-being while promoting independence, dignity, and safety. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: Bathing and personal hygiene Dressing and grooming Toileting and continence care Mobility and transfers Feeding and meal assistance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs. Administer or remind clients to take medications as prescribed. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve quality of life. Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or condition to family members or supervisors. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including light housekeeping duties such as: Laundry Dishwashing Vacuuming Tidying client areas Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and transportation to appointments when required. Support clients with mobility exercises and encourage participation in recreational or social activities. Ensure client safety and respond appropriately in emergencies. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of the client at all times. Qualifications & Requirements Previous caregiving or personal support experience preferred. Certification in Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aide, or related field is an asset. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and dependable. Ability to work independently and adapt to the client’s needs. Physically able to assist with lifting, transfers, and mobility support. Valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs. Working Conditions Live-in arrangement with private accommodation provided. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight support as needed. May involve caring for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or clients recovering from illness or surgery.
