Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar
At Sims Corner, we believe that perfectly aged steaks, big wines, and genuine hospitality make an incredible guest experience. Our culinary team has been a major pillar in what makes us Atlantic Canada's premier steakhouse. We focus on fresh Island raised products, using one hundred percent Island beef, along with fresh locally sourced produce.
As a Line Cook, You Will
Prepare food and menu items to the highest standard
Coordinate with other grilled and roasted products
Coordinate with other kitchen stations
Perform general cleaning activities in the kitchen area
Store supplies or goods in the kitchen or storage area
Ensure food comes out simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Clean kitchen and work area
Follow all operations policies and procedures
Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere
Who You Are
A multi-tasker who can work quickly and efficiently, with the ability to stand for long periods of time
Flexibility - Our back-of-house staff will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
Positive and outgoing personality
Love for building strong relations with team members
Must possess a desire for personal and professional development
Ability to multitask and maintain high energy in a fast-paced environment
A desire to have fun at work, when you have fun, our guests do too
What You Bring
A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset
Previous experience as a Garde manger and/ or Grill cook is considered a strong asset
Food safety knowledge is required
Good eye for detail and accuracy
