How Youll Help Us Better Serve Our Clients Clark Wilson LLP is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Private Company Mergers & Acquisitions practice group. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for individuals seeking to join a firm that values a collegial work environment, where collaboration, dedication, and collective success are at the heart of what we do. What Youll Be Doing Every day will bring new and exciting opportunities to learn and grow, but below are some of the regular responsibilities you can expect to be involved in: Act as a trusted administrative partner by anticipating needs, coordinating schedules and commitments, managing correspondence, and supporting the effective organization of lawyer priorities and client obligations. Coordinate all aspects of corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and share purchases, reorganizations, and financings. Manage transaction closings, including closing checklists, signature packages, execution documents, and closing deliverables. Prepare and maintain closing books, transaction records, and corporate documentation. Draft, revise, format, and proofread correspondence, agreements, resolutions, and other legal documents. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of corporate records, minute books, and annual corporate maintenance. Coordinate corporate filings with applicable registries and regulatory authorities. Open new files, conduct conflict searches, and maintain file records in accordance with firm procedures. Monitor deadlines and proactively track transaction-related tasks to ensure timely completion. Prepare accounts, review prebills, assist with time entry, and support billing processes. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, accountants, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Assist with due diligence processes, document management, and general administrative support for the practice group. Experience with ALF or similar legal document automation software is considered an asset How Youll Be a Great Fit for This Role graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience; a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant - transactional experience an asset; strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and BC Online; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities; a client-centered approach with a commitment to providing outstanding service; the ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines; dedicated to providing service beyond expectation; and the ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and adapt to changing demands. What We Offer The expected salary range for this role is likely to be between $55,000 and $75,000, with the final salary determined based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
