Overview
Dial A Bottle is hiring a Lead Dispatcher and Fleet Supervisor to organize and manage a team of delivery drivers for late‐night alcohol and convenience deliveries across Vancouver & Areas. This is a hands‐on leadership role combining dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment and on‐the‐road support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily dispatch: assign runs, monitor deliveries, optimize routes, and ensure timely service.
Supervise drivers: onboard, train, coach, and evaluate a team of drivers; handle scheduling and shift coverage.
Compliance and safety: enforce ProServe ID checks, intoxication refusal procedures, vehicle and insurance requirements, and incident reporting.
Fleet oversight: track vehicle condition, coordinate maintenance, manage mileage and expense records.
Operations and admin: maintain driver records, process driver timesheets, coordinate payouts, and manage app integrations (company dispatch, Skip, Uber).
Customer and driver support: resolve escalations, handle refunds/returns, and provide after‐hours operational support when needed.
Recruitment and retention: source, screen, and recommend hires; run orientation and ongoing training sessions.
Requirements
18+ and eligible to work in Canada.
Valid Alberta driver’s licence and clean driving record; ability to provide a driver’s abstract.
ProServe certification (or willing to complete during probation; training reimbursed).
Proven experience dispatching or supervising delivery drivers or fleet operations.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‐solving skills.
Comfortable with delivery apps and basic tech (smartphone, GPS, spreadsheets).
Ability to work flexible hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
