Northern Health is seeking a champion with management and leadership experience to join our Regional Chronic Diseases department. Reporting to the Executive Lead, Regional Chronic Diseases, the Lead, Chronic Diseases Strategic Initiatives-HIV/Hep C Care & Chronic Pain Care provides leadership, coordination, coaching, quality improvement and evaluation support to the regional HIV/Hep C and Chronic Pain Programs, to the implementation of the Chronic Pain Prevention and Management Strategy, and to other diseases specific work as assigned. The Lead works in co-leadership with the Medical Leads of the NH HIV/Hep C Care and NH Chronic Pain Care Programs. Starting salary will be approximately from $90,770 to $113,462 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions. Qualfications • A Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration or health related field; • Five (5) to seven (7) years recent related health care experience including two (2) years in management role, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. • Additional leadership training an asset. Skills and Abilities: • Thorough knowledge of the principles of chronic disease management. • Thorough knowledge of a multidisciplinary team approach involved in the coordination of care in a complex environment and system of care services. • Competence in data analysis including interpretation and the ability to orally report and also represent key finding in writing. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Project management skills demonstrating the ability to transition proposals and plans into operations. • Proven ability in facilitation and consensus building among multidisciplinary groups. • Ability to promote team building while understanding that decisive action is required. • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and delegate. • Ability to find creative solutions to problems and to develop alternative strategies to support quality improvement initiatives. • Positive problem-solving skills in a dynamic unionized work environment. • Strong planning, critical thinking and analytical skills. • Knowledge of HIV/Hep C and chronic pain, and leading practices in HIV/Hep C care and chronic pain care.
