Job Requirements
Active RN licensure
Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
NRP certification
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE preferred
Experience circulating C-sections in an obstetric setting
Strong skills in high-risk labor management and Pitocin titration
Ability to interpret fetal monitoring and provide neonatal resuscitation support
Competency in postpartum and couplet care
Ability to work independently in a rural, low-volume, high-acuity environment
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Newborn units
Manage inductions, augmentations, and high-risk labor patients
Interpret fetal heart rate patterns and respond appropriately to clinical changes
Circulate C-sections and support safe, efficient obstetric procedures
Assist with immediate newborn stabilization and NRP participation
Deliver routine newborn assessments and postpartum/couplet care
Float within women's services as needed based on census and staffing
Maintain high standards of safety, teamwork, and compassionate family-centered care
