Join our team as a Landscape Apprentice, where you'll play a vital role in transforming outdoor spaces and making a difference in people's lives. Compensation:
$25 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:
Assist your team with customers’ landscape design, landscape construction, landscape installation, and landscape maintenance
Provide clients with recommendations to maintain their landscaping design
Make sure lawn care, groundskeeping, and lawn maintenance duties are completed including mulching, mowing, weeding, fertilizing, raking, edging, and pruning
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of landscape sites, ensuring all areas are ready for planting and design implementation.
Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects, from initial planning to final touches, ensuring high-quality results.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, contributing to a smooth workflow.
Participate in planting, pruning, and mulching activities, enhancing the beauty and health of outdoor spaces.
Monitor and report on plant health, identifying potential issues and suggesting solutions to maintain vibrant landscapes.
Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
Engage in continuous learning opportunities, expanding your knowledge and skills in horticulture and landscaping techniques.
Qualifications:
Must be a hard-worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of experience as a crew member landscaping for residential or commercial properties
Great physical health and stamina
Experience with a variety of hand tools and maintenance equipment including clippers, chain saws, lawnmowers, blowers, edgers, rakes, and hedge trimmers
Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the work site
Experience in landscape maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and mulching.
Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
Proven track record of collaborating effectively within a team to achieve high-quality results.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
Ability to provide insightful recommendations for maintaining and enhancing landscape designs.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning to expand knowledge in horticulture and landscaping techniques.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
