Position SummaryThe Production Laborer is responsible for branding, framing, inspecting and preparing product for treatment.Job Responsibilities General labor - processing/manufacturing wood products Operate chainsaw, hand tools, tag, clean and prepare products. Banding/packaging Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas. Working outside in all weather conditions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Core Competencies Manufacturing or construction experience preferred. Experience utilizing hand tools-drills, peaveys, chainsaws, wizards, hammers, tape measures etc. Always demonstrate a strong focus on safety. Support a respectful environment and works well in a team setting. Must possess basic math skills. Ability to lift 50-75lbs continually. Knowledge of wood products and defects. Able to learn and acquire new skills. Additional forestry skills such as log scaling, loader operator, log peeling and other machine operations will be valuable assets in progressing to other positions in the yard. In house training is provided.
