Employment Status Union - CUPE Local 402 - Temporary Full-Time Scope Park Facility Operations is seeking temporary full-time team members to support our active, energetic, and fast-paced work environment within the Parks Facility Operations team. These temporary positions will run approximately from Summer 2026 to Fall 2026 and will require a 40-hour work week, which includes weekends and statutory holidays. Responsibilities Among other general labourer duties, perform manual and semi-skilled cleaning tasks within City parks washrooms including: • Cleaning and mopping floors. • Cleaning wall surfaces. • Cleaning toilets and sinks. • Applying various cleaning solutions as directed. • Litter pickup. • Refuse removal. • Demonstrate safe work practices. • Able to work alone for extended periods. • Demonstrates strong teamwork skills and communicates effectively, especially when interacting with the public. • Able to complete required duties in varying facility conditions, demonstrating sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination. • Perform other duties as required. Qualifications • Completion of Grade 12. • Have a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a safe driving record. • Have relevant experience performing manual labour. • Be able to complete work in a variety of site conditions. • Related cleaning and maintenance experience are considered assets.
